Institutional differences across countries are large. The goal of this workshop is to offer an overview of the implications of these institutional differences for international trade. The workshop will be decomposed into three parts. First, we will present the main building blocks of recent institutional trade theories. Second, we will show how these theories can be confronted with the data. Third, we will discuss open questions in this field.
