Constitutional Law and Economics
Abstract
The lecture will focus on the possible application of the methodology of the science of economics to the theory of the state and to principles of constitutional law on both the normative and the positive levels of analysis and to the equilibrium or lack of between normative and positive analysis. For the purpose of the lecture a broad view of "economics" will be adopted, relating it to leading political and moral philosophies and to the philosophy of science in general, criticizing some contemporary work on behalf of economics in this and in other fields.
