Why We Should Study Judicial Behavior
Abstract
My lecture will focus on judicial behavior---an area of study that now intrigues economists, political scientists, psychologists, and legal academics worldwide. After introducing the field and important institutional features of legal systems, I'll consider several substantive topics including: the individual judge, the collegial court, and judicial selection.
